What are the symptoms of CLL?
Many people with CLL do not have any symptoms when it is diagnosed. CLL is not easy
to spot at first because it is a slow-growing cancer of blood cells. Sometimes,
it is found during a routine checkup or when a blood test is ordered for an unrelated
health issue. Symptoms usually begin once the disease progresses and can include:
- Feeling tired
- Weakness
- Fever
- Night sweats
- Shortness of breath
- Swollen lymph nodes (may be felt as lumps under the skin) or spleen (may feel like fullness in the belly)
- Repeated infections
- Weight loss for no reason
- Leukopenia
- Neutropenia
- Anemia
- Thrombocytopenia
